SUMMARY:LET THERE BE LIGHT!!: Mosaic Glass Block Lamp Workshop (full)
DESCRIPTION:LET THERE BE LIGHT!!: Mosaic Glass Block Lamp Workshop\nwith Linda Pannullo \nSaturday\, February 7  |  10 – 4pm \nREGISTER HERE \nBring some light into these short days!! Convert a 7″ Glass Block into a stunning mosaic table lamp. Great class for beginners – you will learn basic mosaic skills using glass nippers\, running pliers and glass scorer. The afternoon will be spent covering both sides of the block. Grout if preferred\, will be done at home and there will be a link to a grouting demo. Class comes with a complete kit that contains glass block\, light for the inside\, a rainbow array of cathedral glass cut into 3″ x 1″ pieces\, handout\, glue\, paintbrush\, popsicle sticks\, grout\, glass embellishments and extra glass for practice. All tools will be provided for the class. \nLinda Pannullo is a local mosaic artist that uses both traditional and contemporary for my art. Her work ranges from the whimsical to fine art\, from eclectic materials to the traditional stained glass and 3D sculptures. She loves to teach and currently instructs at the John C Campbell Folk School in Brasstown\, NC\, Olive’s Porch\, the Purple Crayon and Trackside Studios in Asheville. She is very fond of FUNctional Art and love bringing new folks into the mosaic world. SUMMARY:Bonsai Book Sculpture Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Bonsai Book Sculpture Workshop\nwith Eileen Bos \nSunday\, June 22  |  11 am – 3 pm \nThis class is an intricate project designed for those with long attention spans! We will be taking a ceramic bowl\, wires\, a wooden block\, foil\, and a botanical book of one’s choice\, and transforming them into a 3D bonsai tree sculpture made with the pages of the books itself! Each participant will go home with an adorable book bonsai! All materials will be provided but if you have a hard-backed book you would like to use feel free to bring it with you. \nEileen Bos is a multimedia sculpture artist from NY\, with nearly 40 years of self-taught art experience. She began drawing at the age of 3 and sculpting at age 4. She has competed in The Nickle City cake Challenge\, was featured on the cover of Buffalo Magazine\, won several tablescape awards at Bride’s World Events\, showcased in an ad in NYC’s Times Square\, and much more! Along with art\, Eileen has a deep love of Quantum Sciences & Metaphysics and is working on developing art classes that fuse hands-on arts with Metaphysical principles to help people learn\, heal & grow in exciting\, multifaceted ways.
