The Arboretum’s standard parking fee applies for all non-members. Interested in joining as a member? Join today! \nThis year’s Spring Plant Sale & Market is packed with more than just plants — come for the knowledge\, live music\, and hands-on fun too! \n\n\nFree Soil Class — Drop into our Adult Education Class\, Soil Amendments & Natural Fertilizers\, both days from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. in the Education Center Classroom. No registration needed! \n\n\nLive Music & Shopping — Browse Arboretum-grown plants and 30+ local vendors to the sounds of live music\, 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. both days. \n\n\nAsk A Gardener  — The NC State Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Buncombe County will be on hand to answer your toughest plant care questions at their dedicated booth. \n\nSilent Auction  — The Production Greenhouse is spring cleaning and making room for new plants! Add to your collection and bid on special mature specimens at the Silent Auction. Bids will open during the Plant Sale Preview and close at 3:00 pm on Friday\, May 29. Plants must be picked up between 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on Saturday\, May 30. *A holding charge of 10% will be applied if arrangements need to be made for plant pickup outside of this window.\n\nFamily Activities (Saturday\, May 30\, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.) — Bring the kids! DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Spring Plant Sale Preview!\nThursday\, May 28\n2:00 – 6:00 p.m.\n\nFor Rhododendron ($150) and higher level members and special guests \nPlease show your current membership card or check in with our guest list for entry. \n\nAs a thank you for your generous support\, you are invited to the exclusive preview of the Spring Plant Sale featuring unique plants grown in The North Carolina Arboretum’s Production Greenhouse – including many of the beautiful plants featured in our seasonal landscapes. \nSpend the afternoon with us and take a piece of the Arboretum home with you – all proceeds from this sale benefit The North Carolina Arboretum Society and support the Arboretum’s educational programs\, gardens\, trails and exhibits. The Preview will be held outdoors\, rain or shine\, in parking bay 3. No RSVP is needed.\n\nLive Music Enjoy the sounds of bluegrass with Aubrey and Justin Eisenman while you shop.\nMini Floral Bar with Mountain Floral Celebrate the growing season! Join local floral-grower and designer Rachel Brownlee of Mountain Floral for a complimentary flower arranging craft. Create a mini arrangement in a vintage glass bud vase using selection of locally-grown fresh florals. Supplies are limited.\nSilent Auction The Production Greenhouse is spring cleaning and making room for new plants!
