Now Blooming: The Pura Lily Series

A brand new series of lilies is making its North American debut at Bloom with a View! 

“The Arboretum is honored to exhibit for the first time in North America, the Pura lily series!” said Clara Curtis, Senior Director of Mission Delivery. “The double, pollen-free flowers lend lots of color to the garden when planted in beds and borders and floral artists will be enticed by the colors and pollen free feature!”

The flowers were grown by VanWingerden International, Inc. in Mills River, NC. They were bred through a top-secret process that eliminated the pollen and added an additional petal. 

You can see the flowers in person now through May 14, 2023 at Bloom with a View. 

 

“Bloom with a View,” is an immersive floral installation on the grounds of The North Carolina Arboretum. Throughout the gardens, colorful and festive planters will elevate thousands of blooms to eye-level. Wander, explore and even lose yourself among the flowers!
