Available Positions
(Seasonal) Winter Lights Ticketing Agent – This is a seasonal position supporting the North Carolina Arboretum’s annual Winter Lights show. This position works within Guest and Ticket Services to provide ticket sales and customer support for the 2026 Show. The typical schedule is daytime hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 16–30 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. The hiring salary is $17.00 per hour. (Seasonal) Winter Lights Parking Attendant – This is a seasonal position supporting the North Carolina Arboretum’s annual Winter Lights show. This position works within the Public Safety department to manage traffic and parking operations for the 2026 Show. The typical schedule is evenings, 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., including weekends and holidays, with required evening availability on December 24th and/or December 25th. The hiring salary is $16–$18 per hour, based on experience. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.Â
(Temporary) Part-Time Venue Coordinator – This is a temporary position as defined by the State of North Carolina, with eligibility for up to 24 months of employment. This role plays a key part in supporting wedding and special event operations at the Arboretum, from onsite coordination and vendor communication to guest management and event breakdown. The typical schedule is 30 hours a week with flexible scheduling, and weekend, evening, and occasional holiday availability is required. The hiring rate is $22 per hour. The position closes at 5:00 pm on September 28, 2026.
(Temporary) Winter Lights Retail Associate – This is a seasonal, part-time position supporting the North Carolina Arboretum’s annual Winter Lights show. Retail Associates work in the Arboretum’s indoor retail shops providing friendly customer service, processing sales transactions, restocking merchandise, and answering questions about retail products and the Winter Lights exhibit. The typical schedule is up to 25 hours per week, with most shifts from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Evening, weekend, and holiday work is required. Paid training will be provided the first week of November. The hiring salary is $16 per hour. The position runs from November 12, 2026, through January 3, 2027.
