Hemlock Restoration Initiative Fall Hike at the Arboretum

Join staff from the Hemlock Restoration Initiative on a 2.5-mile hike showcasing the hemlock trees along the Arboretum trails. We’ll discuss the importance of our native hemlocks and the threat they face from the invasive hemlock woolly adelgid. We’ll also cover what strategies are being used at the Arboretum and across the region to deal with the adelgid. This hike is a great opportunity to learn about hemlock conservation in the region and see the natural and recreational value that hemlocks provide.
This hike is free with entry to the park. Pre-registration required.
