Wildlife plays tricks on each other to survive.  Predators blend-in to surprise prey.  The prey blends in to hide from predators. Not only will participants discover some of the best camouflaged animals in nature but they will also have their observation skills tested. There are many ways that nature hides wildlife, join naturalist/environmental educator, Eric Young, and come find out the many adaptations wildlife employs to stay alive.

This program will take place outside and will follow easy trails and paved walkways. Dress for the weather and prepare to be outside for the entire program time.

Eric Young retired down to North Carolina in 2020 after 23 years as a program director at the nature center on Long island. He has dedicated  his life to the field of environmental education over his 35 years. Eric has a Masters in Outdoor Teacher Education and has done workshops and presentations at various institutions and conferences and worked for the NWF at the Ranger Rick wildlife camp in the 80s.
